Online Shop bicycle purchasing info

If you're looking to purchasing bicycle, please start here! (To get a bicycle fixed, please schedule a service assessment. If you are looking for refurbished parts or accessories, fill out this request form.)

Step 1: Measure your leg length

In order to choose a bike that is safe and comfortable for your height, you’ll need to first measure your true leg length (as in this video; wearing your riding shoes, and lifting the book as high as possible!). It’s not the same as your pants inseam. The description of each bike online has a recommended leg length.

If you want a more “casual,” upright posture (handlebars higher than the seat), get a bike with a min. leg length the same as yours. You should have just an inch to spare when you stand over the toptube while flat-foot on the ground.

If you want a more “aggressive,” athletic posture (handlebars lower than the seat), choose a bike with a minimum leg length a bit shorter than yours.

Step 2: Browse our online store and choose a bike:

Purchasing a bike online is the best way to get the bike you want. Our inventory is usually much larger than we can fit in our physical showroom, but all available bicycles are listed in our online store. Our refurbished bikes are all one of a kind, and you can browse by style and price and “reserve” the bike you want by purchasing it online. After you complete your purchase, be sure to look for the link on the next page to schedule your test ride/pick up appointment on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday afternoons.

Step 3: Visit our physical store to test ride your bike:

When you come in for your personal appointment, wear shoes you'd normally ride in. You may choose to bring your own helmet, or we can lend you one. We’ll take the time to help with proper fit adjustments, and you can ride as long as you like on nearby trails. We also have accessories for purchase.

If the bike you chose isn’t just what you need -- for whatever reason -- we are happy to help you pick other bikes to test ride. If we don’t have something that suits you, you can get shop credit and a rain check for one that does, or we’ll just return your payment with no fees.

All refurbished bikes still include:

  • One year trial membership from our advocacy partners Bike Cleveland
  • Mechanical check over at 3 months or 300 miles

-- Youth bikes include “trade-up credit” for 50% of their cost off the next bike as they grow.
